Palo, officially the Municipality of Palo, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 76,213 people, making it the most populous municipality in the province.

The municipality is the seat of most government departments, bureaus and regional offices of Region VIII, although some are situated at the neighboring city of Tacloban. The municipality is also home to the offices of the ecclesiastical government of the Archdiocese of Palo the archbishop's residence as well as the secondary, tertiary and theology seminaries of the archdiocese.
On March 17, 2022, the new Leyte Provincial Capitol in Palo was inaugurated by President Rodrego Doterte officially moving the seat of provincial government to the municipality pending an enabling law changing the provincial capital from the current highly urbanized city of Tacloban.
In this day we havr an assembly at the church because something was being held on the day of the fiesta in Palo. As a youth leader I need to attend the meeting so that I can help our church, we really need a lot of volunteer which is our youth members so that we can do it properly because we are sure that there will be many people because our archbishop Archbishop John Forrosuelo Du, D.D. will be here, it is always held every August 6 because it is the date of fiesta in Palo.
Well, Christmas in Palo is a very beautiful sight for people because apart from the beautiful decorations, there are also many events that are held here such as Hip-hop dance competition, Lantern decoration, and many more. There are also stalls here just near the plaza and what they sell here are bbqs, you can watch events in the plaza while drinking and there are also street foods and snacks that suitable for childrens.
In that day Dec 23, 2022 my friends and I decided to go for a walk to The tunnel of lights in Palo so that we can enjoy our vacation here in Leyte. The Tunnel of lights in Palo is one of the reasons why many people come to Palo because every year the designs are different so that many people have take a picture in this tunnel of lights.
"MCARTHUR MEMORIAL PARK"
MacArthur Leyte Landing Memorial National Park is a protected area of the Philippines that commemorates the historic landing of General Douglas MacArthur in Leyte Gulf at the start of the campaign to recapture and liberate the Philippines from Japanese occupation on 20 October 1944.
The McArthur memorial Park is also one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Palo, many people go there to bond with their family, friends and there are also people who take their pets for a walk. Every 4am someone comes here to jog and others do zumba. McArthur is also a perfect dating sight because you can go here in the afternoon to see the beautiful sunset that will lighten your mood.
